For those in the Lincoln area (UK)
Are there any songwriters in the Lincoln area interested in us setting up a group, (probably meeting monthly) for those who write songs or are interested in trying to write them? Our current group in Grimsby is very informal, supportive and friendly and is proving to be very successful with those who attend. We have people who have written many songs and those who are just starting to have a go. We have a couple of poets attending, too. All welcome whatever the experience. Please PM me for further info.
We are looking for a SUITABLE ROOM in Lincoln,(forgive me shouting!) to run a parallel group to our songwriting group in Grimsby. We need a room separate to the main area at a venue, as we need it to be quiet. We also need it to be with good access to the room so it is open to all including those who would find stairs etc a problem.
Added to these specific requirements...we also want it to be as cheap as possible, we don't need posh surroundings just a safe welcoming place for those who attend! (We are trying to make it open to all and not an expensive night out!)
An ideal room would be one towards the Nettleham end of Lincoln,(we will be travelling into Lincoln from that direction,) with parking on site and nearby access to public transport. Quite a lot to ask but I am hoping that Mudcatters maybe able to help! Many thanks, all who have taken the time to read this..!
