Has anyone mentioned The Recruited Collier / Sweet Thames Flow Softly - both great songs with pretty similar melodies (as someone pointed out on another thread, - sorry can't remember which) I sometimes think that what makes a lot of folk songs so great is that they are almost like musical archetypes in a way - I believe that's why they resonate so deeply within (some of) us & hence often get knowingly or unknowingly copied from time to time.
