Gosh, nobody mentioned Captain Tractor.
For the true Canadophile(?!) I recommend a strange little CD called "Primadonna on a Moose" by Mary Lou Fallis. It's very very late Victorian operatic soprano though, so be warned! She went and found a bunch of old Canadian sheet music (1840's to 1910's) and put the best choices on the CD. Such great and enduring hits as:
Paddle your Own Canoe,
Canadian Sleigh Song,
Le Grand Seigneur,
Andalouse,
Lacrosse,Our National Game
Snowshoe Tramp
Take Your Girl Out to the Rink
Oh, What a Difference Since the Hydro Came
and By the Banks of the Sasketchewan...
Among others.
No, I'm not making this up. And I've got the lyrics sheet if anyone is desperate...
