Yes,it is aceptable to ask busking,even if they were payed for gig.(if we talk about street gig). Only issue would be how they asked;did they they asked or demand. And suggestion trick 5 is good,but 3 is also ok,is old one,and also acceptable,if it is said nicely,of course.
