I'm also very sorry you were disappointed, Suibhne Astray.

I know my recording's far from perfect and I hope I didn't build up false hopes with anything I may have said about it.

As CJB said, the best outcome would be for all this activity to stimulate the Beeb into locating and releasing the original masters if they still exist.

Meanwhile, this thread has uncovered a real treasure-trove of rare material.

@GavDav: Thanks so much for your upload. It's wonderful to hear this rare version of the suite - and to have a proper cover for my iPod version at last. I hope you'll share your digital version as well!

Incidentally, the reason I didn't record the entire Folk on 2 program was because I was using a 90 minute cassette tape (45 minutes per side) which would have meant the tape changing sides somewhere during the second half of the suite. By using the "pause" button during the interval, I managed to avoid that and get a complete recording on a single side.
