I agree about Chuck's indelible influence on American pop and rock music and his prowess as a lyricist. He also must've found that Fountain Of Youth that Ponce de Leon failed to locate, just to be able to keep performing over all these decades -- without appearing to have aged much more than 20-30 years. I hope whatever ailed him in this latest gig was a transient bug. Leonard Cohen sort of collapsed at a gig not long ago too, but I believe he's OK, and let's hope Chuck B is too. As for deserving to retire and take it easy, heck, maybe his dream is to be on stage rockin' out when he finally kicks the bucket. There are worse ways to go.
