We folk in Arkansas would like to know what is going on as well. Redwing Blackbirds fly over the state in large flocks and indications are that the birds fell from the sky not from nesting areas. Game and Fish studies attribute death to trauma suggesting some powerful blast of energy possibly from a blast of thunder or bolt of lightning or some other source. So far, from what I have heard, they are sticking to the theory that the fish and bird deaths are unrelated but it sure is suspicious since all occurred in a relatively short time.

Supposedly this type of mystery has occurred before in other times and places.
