My mum told me this rhyme for bouncing the ball and swinging your leg over it. One, two, three O'Laire(pronounced O'Lairer) Four, five, six O'Laire Seven, eight, nine O'Laire (don't remember the last line) Mum was born in 1919, so assuming she played it when she was about ten years old, that makes it 1929. She lived in Cadishead near Irlam in Lancashire.
