Hello all guitar players,

My only guitar developed a nasty crack that I noticed last night. I spoke to the guitar doc this morning: he can't look at for another two weeks. To make matters worse, I am traveling for eight days starting Sunday and had planned to take my guitar with me.

I have little income and minimal savings. I have been playing everyday. I hate to lose my callouses and my dexterity to a two-week holiday (and, who knows, it could be a month before I get the old Harmony back.

I live in the East Bay in California. I don't drive. I could spend $250 or so to get a second guitar if I absolutely have to. What would you do?
