On the 17th and 18th February (Thursday and Friday of this week), Keith will be appearing in the play "The Unknown Land" at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guilford. The Unknown Land is a compelling tale of extreme survival telling the tale of one man's journey to the end of the earth and deep inside his own mind. "The year is 1844. Samuel Straw is the last survivor of an expedition to find the Northwest Passage. Why did he answer a newspaper advertisement inviting him to join a ship bound for the unknown wastes north of Greenland? How did the loneliness, the strength-sapping treks across the ice and the merciless cold change him forever? How were the certainties of his early life challenged as he faced such a bleak environment? Samuel's story is told by one actor (David Fredrickson) playing many characters and a musician playing (Keith Kendrick) the traditional songs of land and sea. It's a story inspired by true accounts of nineteenth century Arctic exploration, Inuit mythology and the fatal attraction of the Polar Regions." It is a really good play and I promise you will enjoy it. Don't just take my word for it, SeaJane (hope you don't mind me quoting you) said "Went to see this in Bristol on Saturday. Stunning!". Cheers Sylvia
