While following a train of thought from Sally Gardens I came across the words for J McG in the DT and this line struck me as just wrong: "Up to (Glaster) diamonds, red pity on your mind" surely up to the Gloucester Diamond as mentioned in The Spanish Lady google maps and "Red Biddy", the MD 20/20 or Bucky of its day. I did a quick Google to see exactly what Red Biddy was and found this Ban the Demon Drink from hansard of 1937 which I found quite interesting. I don't know if a thread like this is the way to set the lyrics right but it seemed the obvious thing to do.
