Monique, "barbiner" not a word I know and it does not appear in any of my dictionaries. I could very well be wrong but I assumed it was a local word that my 'Cajun cousins use to mean "gaspiller" (to waste money). I spelled "barbiner" as I hear it. However, it could be another case of my mishearing the word, a phenomenon my wife attributes to the shit in my ears. If anybody can clarify, I would be pleased to learn something new.
