For some reason, after many, many years I was thinking of Barrie. Googled his name and discovered the sad news of is premature death nearly four years ago. I had had a relationship with Barrie in 1968...me then, 21 years old, emotionally immature and in awe of his charismatic personality. Loved the evenings at the Fitter's Arms...it was all so different from my teacher training college in Kidderminster. In the end, Barrie was one of the great unwashed and no amount of personality, intelligence could overcome my distaste. However, I remember him with fondness. Reading the obits it would seem he lived life to the full on his own terms. Good formyou Barrie. Jen Hen
