Bob Dylan will have his 70th birthday on May 24th this year. Yorkshire singer Chris Euesden of Circuit Music is marking this event by releasing, on May 16th, a CD of Bob's songs made by many different artists, with all proceeds to be donated to Oxfam. The CD has an introduction from poet Ian McMillan and includes performances from Martin Simpson, Steve Tilston, Chris Smither, Chris While, Julie Matthews, Kelly While, Clive Gregson, Christine Collister, Snake Davies, Helen Watson, Craig & Willoughby, Dave Burland, Jez Lowe, Steve Phillips and the Rough Diamonds, Hans Theesink, Rosalie Deighton, John Leonard and many others. It also features a rare recording from the late Tony Capstick (Sheffield 1972). It even has me playing banjo on one of the tracks (don't all rush at once). Details and progress here. Cheers Ray
