At one time, back in the mid-90s, CABOMA had a separate, OT slow jam, as part of its biweekly jam sessions. Which turned out to be not so much slow-paced as OT, which was good because otherwise their jams were overwhelmingly bluegrass. It wasn't that they were specifically unwelcoming if you turned up with an open back banjo, it just wasn't their sort of music. I eventually stopped going because I don't play bluegrass and almost no one at CABOMA played OT. Anyone know if that's changed? Guest, e--where do you live in the DC area? It can make a world of difference around here, transport-wise, if you are on the MD or VA side of DC.
