The phrase "3 x 7" meaning 21 years of age is common in very many blues songs. In John Hurt's version of CC Rider, they lyric goes: I told you baby, and your mama done told you too You're three times seven, you know what you wanna do. The original post also includes the phrase "ain't nobody's business what I do," which is ALSO a very oft-quoted phrase in the blues lexicon, and is indeed the title of a very popular blues/jazz song recorded in countless different versions. I wonder if any of the above responses actually nailed the song that the OP was trying to remember?
