Although I am NOT a musician, since 2008 YouTube has helped promote my Web site and introduced me to hundreds of artists who permit me to embed videos of their songs. To date I have made only 12 videos of artists' songs, but maintain more than 40 YouTube playlists with an average of 40 videos in each. In turn, these are embedded on individual song pages of my archival Web site: GEST Songs of Newfoundland and Labrador. Nothing displays a song better than lyrics, but video gives it life and much more interest. http://www.youtube.com/user/gdgest?feature=mhee#g/u
