Stilly River mentioned a pool guard, well I'm not OTT about kids or health and safety stuff but Bobert if you are going to have little ones visiting, you could consider investing in wrist band alarms to be worn by your little guests. Sad fact is however near or far away you may be, kiddies drown all the time - it only takes two minutes, enough time to just make a quick phone call or just butter some toast or just brew a quick cuppa tea.. I don't even have bluddly kids, but I saw this on Supernanny (it was just on, you know!) and it impressed me: http://www.safewateralarms.co.uk/
