I was at school near Nottingham in the 60s. I never actually saw Dave Turner, but some of my mates did, revered him, and the musical ones passed on some of his songs. One of which was another song about R Hood, beginning Robin was a bloke who owned many bows He kept them all nice and clean He died in his prime at the age of 99 Of a bad case of eyeball gangrene And another, on a completely different subject had a line There's a Dalek and it's mating with my distbin... Happy days. Sad to hear Dave Turner has died.
