As mentioned above, emails from Freeserve (and apparently g-mail) aren't being treated as Spam. Hotmail has two levels of spam filtering. Only at the second level to they present the message to the customer's own spam settings. Anything that fails the first level vanishes. If the sending IP address is blackisted (as often happens with Freeserve) then the message wsil fail at the first level. The lack of a bounce message could be down to your own, or your ISP's, spam settings, fake bounces have been a popular technique for delivering malware.
