Mark, You neglected to mention that the only way to watch the Mummers Day parade is drunk--no one in Philly knows the words, or even knows that there are words, when the music plays, everyone just does the Mummers Strut-- As to the meaning of the song, wha, chillun, don' yoo'all know? It be's 'bout dat great gittin' up mornin", sho nuff!!
