Ric von Schmidt based "Joshua" on an actual incident that happened on St. Vincent in the late '50s or early '60s. He told me he exagerated a little for dramatic effect -- there were not three deaths, though there were plenty of violent doings. Mr. Joshua was a real governor of St. Vincent, so that is almost certainly his name on the airport. James, from Paris
