September is the best month here, for good weather with few bugs and few crowds. Anytime from August 8 to October 20 is great--high summer at the beginning, golden autumn at the end. In August, the weeks of the Shambala electronica festival and the Princeton Traditional Music Festival always have perfect weather. B. C. forests are evergreen and so never depressing. Not all the mountains are the Rockies, in fact, some aren't even mountains at all--just the sides of valleys that go up and up and up.
