What I noticed, in all three debates actually, is that Gore tended to look at the person who asked the question while Bush tended to look at the camera. I'll take someone who can make real contact with people over someone who settles for the illusion of it, if it's just a matter of personality. Fortunately, for me, it's issues, and I'm still closer to Gore than Bush on that criteria too, so I'm not going to get distracted by pr training.
