My sister who was 13 years older than me and was the oldest in the family, used to sing this to me to put me to sleep also. She passed away a few years ago and we would talk about this song and she couldn't remember the lyrics. I always remembered her singing Mr. Moon Moon, Silvery, Silvery moon, which I guess is a little off, but I always knew that something was hiding behind a tree, and she always said that it seemed like she wouldn't sing something like that to me if I was little, but I knew she had. I wish so much I'd thought to research this a few years back and print these lyrics and go the hospital and sing them with her. She had a beautiful, Doris Day type voice.
