I am trying to find out about a violin I recently obtained ( and am repairing) made by

"F A Fisch October 1914 Sacramento Cal." ( Written on bassbar)

I have found references to F A Fisch as the leader of the First Artillery Band (Sacramento) in 1875, and to his wife having a daughter on 17 April 1879.

That would lead me to think ( IF it is the same F A Fisch) that he would have been around 60 or older when he made this instrument. I suspect that it is not his first- Does anyone have any knowledge of other instruments that he made, or about him as a luthier or musician?
