Mmm A mixed review of Mr Storey's character it seems. I for one am not making any criticisms of the current organising body of WFF .. I may want a booking again sometime. All I, and many others are saying is that underneath that hard and brutal exterior lies a heart of gold. I too remember being terrified of him the first time I presented myself to him for the weeks fee ... but so much went on behind the scenes ... he really looked after the 'old boys' who came to entertain us all ... like Ernest Dyson, The Shepherds, Packie Manus, Fred Jordan etc etc etc they basically had the freedom of Whitby during their stay. Also he bent over backwards to look after others who needed taxis etc for getting around Whitby and R H Bay. I too played cricket for the 'other side' and only remember great laughs. As with everything a viewpoint is very much governed by how wide open one's eyes are perhaps ...
