Have just been singing this today to my 9 month-old great niece in Ayrshire (Scotland) who has recently added clapping hands to her repertoire -- great to see her interest and progress! Our family custom has been tpwards endless repetition for familiarity -- with the substitutions of various family members to keep it 'interesting' eg. daddy/mummy/granny/ granpa/uncle Robbie/auntie Annie etc.
