Well I'm back, safe and well. What a fantastic holiday it was, too. Totally enjoyed every second of it, even the tail end of Hurricane Katria... Very nice singaround in Tiverton at the monthly club there (thank you Susannah and co. for your hospitality!). An impromptu rendition in the pub in Dent (what a marvellously quaint village that is), a super singround in The Black Bull, Moffat (which happens every Thursday, despite the tourist office saying "Nuthin' ever happens in Moffat") and the wonderful Dave Gibb joined me in The Coachman for a song session which turned out to be a surprise hit. Two charming ladies from Mussleburgh proclaimed us "Brillyant" and "The new Corries". (Well, yes, they were a bit inebriated.) Finally a customisation of Navigator for the trip on the last night (Joyce she's the strangest of all that I know / She goes up hills fast and then comes down them slow. / And Charlotte's never beaten by hills – it's no joke / But she stops off halfway and lights up for a smoke, etc.) went down well. So not a whole lot of music, but some great moments. I have some pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/berkocurries/sets/72157627644125627/show
