Because it is dark outside now, I can't see anything except closed curtains when I turn my head toward my window.

I live in a small condo after having lived for years on wooded rural acreage. I thought when I moved here that I would be living in a goldfish bowl, but outside my bedroom window is a few feet of grass and then a wooded area that separates the condo property from the suburban houses on the next street. At this time of year there is enough foliage to block the sight of houses. Even when the leaves have fallen I will be able to see only trees unless I walk to my window and look to the left or right.
