Mick, the link above os to all 6 books of Caledonian Companion combined - perfect! I can see many hours being passed sorting through that lot. Wonderful! And since I am unworthy to argue with Mr. Kidson - and it's unlikely I'll turn up anything earlier going through Roud's 269 entries! - then between this post and my last one I have made a 4 course guitar arrangement to sing it to, as it's ideally meant for my early music duo.
