Highly entertaining guy and a legend in his Aylesbury lunchtime. I was pleased to get to his 1998 Albert Hall concert. It was a greatt show with Wilko Johnson joining him and Wild Willy on stage. Springing off an aluminium step-ladder and amazingly somersaulting with a corded guitar were all part of his act. Ten years later at the Blackheath Halls a friend introduced him to me (him a muso me a former music biz tech). Wild Willy told me the ladder's in but the somersault was out these days. Willy is a brilliant all round musician. Unbelievably John Otway is 60 next year (but don't tell him).
