I made it home this afternoon and rested this evening. The heart attack was a mild one and did no damage the muscle. They will be able to treat it with medication so in that regard I was lucky. On the other hand the cardiologist said my cholesterol, blood pressure and sugar were all good and I had a heart attack anyway. He said I had been dealt a bad hand with genetics. (My father, who was never more than 20 lbs overweight and never smoked a cigaret in his life, had a heart attack at age 59) Still, if I do what I need to do with diet and exercise I should be able to get on top of it.
I cannot begin to state what gratitude I feel for the kindness shown by the folks here at Mudcat who have shown such great support for myself and Christina during this scare and my cancer ordeal of a couple years past. You all are the best.
