Keep at least one. You never know when you'll need one! I was once asked to do the music for a pantomime, and the opening number was "Do You Believe in Magic" by Loving Spoonful. To get the right sound for the intro chords, I played around with string gauges, different pickups, plectrum thickness and amp settings for weeks. I ended up by converting a Hofner 175 (one of the red vinyl covered, strat-shaped, ones) just to play that song. I'd nearly got it right when I happened to see a video of the band playing that song. John Sebastian was playing an electric autoharp. Bother! Cheers Dave PS I've still got the guitar, though I've never played "Do You Believe.." in public since. You never know when I might need it!
