Having cleared the debris from Christmas visitors out, I have also cleared up from the evening with friends last night. It was a late one, of course, as we were out in the village for the torchlight procession and the firework display.

I don't want to believe what I read on the bathroom scales yesterday evening. They told me I had put about 10lbs back on in as many days since I was weighed at WW. I'm going away to Paris for a couple of days this week, to celebrate my 60th (a treat from my daughters) and I think I'd better eat soup for the duration!

My cat decided to try and do a runner out of the front door about 1am, but I managed to grab him. Today, he went out back late morning and did a disappearing act until I managed to coax him in at 7pm. He hasn't eaten all day, and I didn't even get his meds into him this morning. He seems quite frail at the moment. Hopefully his appetite will be back tomorrow. I think he's stressing because all of a sudden he's got a rearranged house and no builders, and while he's trying to adjust to this, it keeps getting invaded by visitors. I daresay the fireworks down the road didn't help. They were very loud (very impressive) and lasted a good 15 minutes.

Washing, packing and an attempt to sort out that bedroom of mine tomorrow, I think.
