A Lancashire version of this has been recorded by Gary and Vera Aspey, something like:- 'Twas on the day that I was born, so proud me Dad was he, He pushed me pram round Wigan town for everyone to see, The girls all crowded round me and me Dad he did allow, All the girls to kiss me cheeks but the don't do it now! CH They don't do it now, they don't do it now He let the girls all kiss me cheeks but they don't do it now!
