Got a call a few weeks ago from a very helpful gentleman (with an Indian accent) who advised me that when doing one of their regular checks of my pc, they had discovcered that it was infected by several fatal viruses and badly needed a tune-up. I only needed to log on to their website to have everything fixed for free!
I thanked him profusely and advised him that I would have my son-in-law, who works for the Computer Fraud Section of Thames Valley Police, take a look at it and save them the trouble. At that point there must have been some problem with the telephone connection because the line went dead!

My conscience is troubling me terribly because my son-in-law is actually a car mechanic. Could I be sued for giving out false information?
