I've been appalled as I visit different doctors'offices (today will be the fifth doctor I've seen) and also as I go between rooms at the SAME clinic, with the same questions asked repeatedly by the assistants. "Is your problem on the right or the left side" and "Did you get a stent". They're holding a folder in their hand, which I suppose is my chart. I asked one of them if that information wasn't printed on my chart (shouldn't it be featured rather prominently that I had a kidney stone on the LEFT side, and what the status was (STENT REMOVED)?) and she snapped back "Yes but why should I bother to look at the chart when I can just ask you?". Okay, but what if I was confused...I'd think they'd at least take a look at the doctors notes. So if I said it was the right side you'd xray the right side then, no questions asked????
