Here's what George Papavgeris had to say about her gig at Herga Folk Club gig 6/2/12

"Well, the lady done good. She done very good indeed. Both the self-penned and trad material were excellent and wonderfully performed. Her voice clear, her delivery bold and purposeful, the patter enjoyable. But two songs stick out for me:

a) Wendy's rendition of the Anachie Gordon just has to be in the top three deliveries I have ever witnessed, of any ballad. And I can't even think which would be the other two, I just don't want Wendy to get too big-headed! :-)

b) Wendy's own "Isaac" deserves to get several covers, such a lovely lyric and gorgeous tune, and the theme itself not likely to get weather-worn with the years. I put it right up there with John Beavis' "New Road" (Moses and the Ref, can I sponsor you to learn it?)

Also: I recently read in a thread here about the dearth of really good female guitar players. Look no further, Wendy's guitar playing is up there with the best."

Here's one without the guitar - Annachie Gordon
