Cats Folklore: St. Piran's Day Greetings (12) RE: Folklore: St. Piran's Day Greetings 03 Mar 12

St Piran is the patron saint of tinners but also generally regarded as the original patron saint of Cornwall. Petroc was 6th century and was responsible for the building of the church in Bodmin and setting up the bishopric of Cornwall, hence havuing a later claim on the title. Anyway, It is Perrantide at the moment and this weeknd sees sessions and celebrations all over cornwall with a march through Truro on Monday followed by a session in the pub and sessions all over the Duchy.
Gool Perran Lowen.
