Sadly I have to report that another great stalwart of UK folk music has passed away to the great singaround in the sky. Jim Wilkinson ran folk clubs at Whitby and Mickleby for many years and, with his family, raised thousands of pounds for charity through hosting the Black Bull Benders at their home in Tranmire. North Yorks. I visited him in hospital in Whitby 9 days ago and he was very, very frail but the family were hoping to get him home. I do hope that they managed that My thoughts are with his wife Muriel and all members of his extended family. RIP Jim Hazel Bolton
