Of course, in my earlier post, I should have mentioned the book Woody, Cisco and Me by Jim Longhi. Thanks to Mark Ross for correcting this omission. I would certainly add it to the "must read" list. But, speaking only for myself, I don't know if I could choose any one book as the best book about Woody Guthrie ever written, bar none. I'll admit, though, that the Longhi book was hard to put down. The book Sing Out Warning, Sing Out Love (from the writings of Lee Hays) has a very good chapter on Woody, from Hays's personal recollections. Highly recommended. Jay
