I don't think The Spinners really need a lifetime achievement award - in all of our hearts they have already got it!! Perhaps official recognition from either the EFDSS or Radio 2 Folk Awards would be nice, though. They were certainly a kick in the right direction for me in my early folk career... as was John Kirkpatrick, the Oldham Tinkers, The Yetties, Rosie Hardman and Bob Axford!
