@Guest There is amplification and there is amplification. If you can be heard 100 yards away, why? People that far away aren't going to put money in your hat! Parliament Street/St Sampson's in York can support half a dozen buskers but if one of two acts set up in the centre then that is it, no-one else has a chance. IMHO the most successful buskers are performers who can draw in and interact with the punters, it's hard to do that when you're so loud that no-one comes nearer than twenty yards! Steve
