in 2002 I landed in Charlotte, North Carolina on my way to the Mount Airy Old Time and Bluegrass festival. At the immigration desk the guy asked me where I was going in the US, so I said Mount Airy. He then asked what Mount Airy was famous for..... To me it's most famous for the Round Peak style of Old Time music, and people like Tommy Jarrell and Fred Cockerham, but I didn't think he wanted that answer, so I thought a bit and said 'Andy Griffith'. He then smiled and said 'Pass, friend.'

Great stuff.
