GUEST,Ian Blond Matrose or Blond Sailor (21) RE: Blond Matrose or Blond Sailor 06 Jul 12

This is really late but going through my Mothers music I have found sheet music printed in 1945 for THE BLOND SAILOR music by J. PFEIL. Liber-Southern Ltd London. Allan and Co Pty Ltd Melboure Adelaide and Bendigo.
The words start:-
A girl and a sailor were parting one day, she smiled through her teardrops and brushed them away. I can't say goodbye love with you I must go. Don't leave me alone dear she sighed soft and low. Then the chorus starts - Take me 'cross the ocean my fair headed sailor sail me far away my handsome blond sailor. We won't mind stormy weather just so we are together but if we must part dear them I know I will die. Take me with you blond sailor said the maid with a sigh for if we should part dear I just know I shall die.

Then there is a second chorus
