Today's FT also has an article on Pussy Riot, the Russian band currently facing up to seven years' imprisonment for their anti-Putin protest in a Moscow Cathedral. Their songs may not be to every Mudcatter's taste, but you can't deny it's genuine protest music with very real consequences for those brave enough to perform it. I did 12 months' student placement in a stockbroker's office many years ago, and found people always left me alone if I had an FT propped up in front of me. This bought me a precious 30 minutes every morning to drink my coffee in peace while I read the theatre reviews.
