The Roaring Forties will be performing "Icebound" during Whitby Folk Week. Where?..Brunswick Centre When? 3pm this Sunday. This is the true story of thw whaling ships trapped in the ice of Baffin Bay over the winter of 1836/37. The story of their tragedy,hardship and heroism is told through a 60 minute performance of 13 original songs,interspersed with readings from the ships' logs and the diaries of the crews. The performance will be followed by a concert of sea songs,featuring The Roaring Forties,George Unthank,Jim Mageean,She Shanties,Robin Garside and John Conolly. Don't miss it!!! (G category price)
