My (singing) voice is slowly coming back. The lower register works but control over the higher notes is uncertain and the muscles are lazy. Trying to hit the higher notes makes my throat feel like something is stuck in there.

School is going well. It's a good group of kids, respectful and willing to learn. Some even notice the occasional pun or bad joke I throw at them. A few even try to return the volley. A few have come forward to talk politics with me. And one is in Florida right now for the Republican convention. She has an extra credit assignment to prepare a report on what she sees, hears, and does. She has to present that report when she gets back.
