Has anybody actually ascertained that this fellow was a leftwinger, and not a garden variety schizophrenic? The fellow who got into the capital building and shot a security guard was crazier than a bedbug. He had no political agenda at all.

When the G20 conference was here in Pittsburgh the right made a big fuss about the fact that protesters fought the police. They did so because the police handled the protests stupidly.

The police were armed and in full riot gear. The protesters were in ordinary clothes and their weapons were stick, bricks and horse manure. The latter supplied by the police, in a way.
